GEORGE TOWN, February 28 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) Penang has officially announced its new state committee lineup, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening cooperation among component parties and advancing the people’s agenda. This new leadership, which will serve until 2026, reflects PH Penang’s dedication to enhancing administrative efficiency, reinforcing grassroots support, and ensuring a strong political direction to tackle current and future challenges.
The newly appointed committee is led by Chairman Chow Kon Yeow, with Steven Sim Chee Keong, Nurul Izzah Anwar, and Haji Muhammad Faiz Fadzil serving as Deputy Chairpersons. PH Penang remains confident that this leadership team will uphold political stability, champion the welfare of the people, and ensure the continuity of reform initiatives that have been outlined by the coalition.
The announcement follows the restructuring of PH’s leadership in 2022 when the Majlis Pimpinan Pakatan Harapan (MPPH) Penang aligned its leadership with the newly elected state leadership of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR). The previous leadership adjustments included the appointment of Nurul Izzah Anwar as Deputy Chairperson alongside Dato’ Dr Roslan Ahmad, demonstrating the coalition’s commitment to inclusive and strategic leadership.
In addition to internal restructuring, PH Penang emphasizes the importance of continued collaboration with Barisan Nasional (BN) to maintain an effective administration and promote sustainable development for the state. The coalition remains focused on strengthening unity among DAP, PKR, and Amanah, ensuring that the governance of Penang remains stable and forward-looking.
