PUTRAJAYA, February 28 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency, stating that no government contracts have been awarded through direct negotiations since he took office.

Speaking at the National Waqf Month launch, Anwar emphasized that all procurement must go through a tender process verified by the Ministry of Finance, citing past scandals like the littoral combat ship (LCS) project as examples of mismanagement. He vowed to uphold accountability, stressing that national resources must not be plundered under his leadership.
