KLANG, March 3 – Transport Minister Anthony Loke reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to enhancing its maritime industry with the expansion of the Malaysia Maritime Single Window (MMSW), a digital platform streamlining port operations. Since its introduction in Port Klang in June 2024, the system has facilitated over 10,000 vessel transactions and is set to expand to Sabah and Sarawak by March 2025.
Loke highlighted key infrastructure projects, including a RM107 million upgrade for Pulau Indah Ring Road and the East Coast Rail Link’s integration with Northport and Westports by 2027. With these developments, Port Klang is projected to rise in global rankings, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a premier maritime hub.
