KUCHING, March 3 — Sarawak welcomed 18 Singaporean travel agents for the “Meet-The-Experts” programme, a Tourism Malaysia initiative aimed at boosting cross-border tourism. Held at the Riverside Majestic Hotel, the event connected agents with 25 local industry players to develop new travel packages ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026).
Following the session, participants embarked on a four-day familiarisation trip to Sibu, exploring Sarawak’s cultural heritage, the Rajang River, and the Melanau Heritage Trail. With 26 weekly flights between Singapore and Sarawak, the initiative strengthens tourism ties, supporting Malaysia’s top international visitor market.
