KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Xiaomi has secured its position as Malaysia’s leading smartphone vendor in 2024, achieving a 16% market share in unit shipments, according to global research firm Canalys. The company also recorded a 2% year-on-year growth, driven by its dual-brand strategy, which caters to both flagship and budget-conscious consumers.
Eddie Huang, Country Manager for Xiaomi Malaysia, credited the brand’s success to its commitment to innovation and affordability. “We are grateful for the trust our Malaysian users have placed in us. Our mission remains to provide cutting-edge technology at accessible price points,” he said. Xiaomi’s latest offerings, including the Redmi Note 13 and Xiaomi 14 series, have been well-received, reinforcing its dominance in the competitive smartphone market.
