GEORGETOWN, March 4 — Pantai Hospital Penang has installed three additional Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at Taman Jajar’s community riverpark in Sungai Ara, reinforcing its commitment to public health and emergency preparedness.
With a total of eleven AED units now strategically placed across Penang, including Penang Hill, Gurney Bay, and SK Balik Pulau, the initiative aims to improve survival rates in sudden cardiac arrest cases. CEO Pan Wen Lek emphasized the importance of community awareness and CPR training, encouraging the public to familiarize themselves with life-saving techniques.
The hospital also plans to offer AED and CPR training sessions to empower individuals with essential emergency response skills.
