PUTRAJAYA, March 4 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has cautioned against the misuse of freedom of assembly to spread slander and deceit, urging organizers to cooperate with authorities and ensure public safety.
He criticized certain groups for exploiting racial sentiments under the guise of defending Malay rights while failing to take meaningful action when in power. Speaking at the Singgah Madani programme, Anwar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to urban redevelopment, emphasizing efforts to uplift low-income communities despite opposition from envious parties resisting progress.
