BAYAN LEPAS, March 8 – Queensbay Mall welcomes the joyous spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri with “Eksplorasi Raya,” a celebration inspired by the rich culture of Malaysia’s East Coast states, Terengganu and Kelantan. Transforming the Centre Atrium into a vibrant beachside escape, the festive decorations include colorful huts, gazebos, coconut trees, and traditional elements such as Pelita, Wau Bulan, and a stunning 3D turtle installation, symbolizing Terengganu’s famous turtle landings.
This theme aligns with Visit Malaysia 2026, promoting domestic and international tourism while offering Penangites a glimpse into the charm of the East Coast during the festive season. To enhance the Raya atmosphere, Queensbay Mall has curated a lineup of cultural performances and family-friendly activities, starting with the official launch on 7 March 2025. Visitors can enjoy traditional dances and music by Dewan Budaya, USM, including Persembahan Rebana Ubi, Tarian Wau Bulan, and Joget Gamelan.
Children can participate in Sampul Raya and Labu Sayong painting workshops, alongside mascot appearances, balloon giveaways, and a Raya Fashion Show on 30 March 2025.
