KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 – CITIZENS INTERNATIONAL and multiple human rights organizations have strongly condemned reports of a plan by U.S. President Donald Trump to place Gaza under external control, calling it an act of modern colonization and a violation of international law.

In a joint statement, 15 organizations emphasized that Gaza belongs solely to the Palestinian people, who must have the right to determine their own future without foreign interference. The statement further highlighted that this alleged plan is an extension of Israel’s long-standing oppression, including blockades and military aggression, aimed at legitimizing further occupation.

The coalition urged the global community, including the UN, OIC, ASEAN, and the EU, to firmly reject and condemn any attempt to alter Gaza’s status without the consent of its people. They called for an immediate halt to all forms of support for Israeli occupation and demanded strong international action to protect Palestinian sovereignty.

Declaring solidarity with Palestinians in their struggle for freedom and justice, the organizations reaffirmed that Gaza is not for sale and must remain under Palestinian governance.
