SHAH ALAM, March 11 – PKR vice-president Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has confirmed his intention to contest for a central leadership post in the upcoming party elections on May 24 but has yet to decide on which position. The Selangor Menteri Besar emphasized the need to balance party stability with PKR’s role in the unity government, acknowledging discussions with various stakeholders on his potential bid.
While the party’s top two posts are unlikely to be contested, Amirudin stressed that any leadership contest should not compromise party unity or governmental integrity. PKR elections for central and branch-level positions are set for April and May, with discussions ongoing regarding key leadership roles.
