GEORGE TOWN, March 11 – Authorities have launched a search and rescue operation after a 34-year-old local manwas seen jumping off the Penang Bridge at KM 7.4 from the island towards Perai early this morning. Police investigations, based on CCTV footage, confirmed the incident at 6:14 AM, with the victim’s motorcycle found abandoned near the bridge railing.
The rescue operation, involving the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM), Civil Defense Force (APM), and Marine Police (PPM), is ongoing as efforts continue to locate the missing individual.
