SEREMBAN, March 12 — DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has denied allegations of factionalism within the party ahead of its Central Executive Committee (CEC) elections on March 16, dismissing them as external attempts to sow discord.

Loke emphasized that DAP’s leadership remains strong and united, urging party members not to be distracted by baseless speculation. He noted that such claims are common during election periods and attributed them to political rivals or envious outsiders. Addressing rumors of a rift between him and DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng, Loke reiterated that DAP has only one camp—the DAP camp.

Loke, who is also the Transport Minister, highlighted DAP’s commitment to leadership rejuvenation, ensuring the introduction of fresh faces in the upcoming elections. Amid rising speculation over internal party politics, Loke reaffirmed DAP’s focus on stability, governance, and its leadership succession plan.
