GEORGE TOWN, March 13 – The 2025 Tesla Model Y Juniper has officially launched in Malaysia, following its regional debut in Singapore. Unveiled at Gurney Plaza, George Town, Penang the facelifted all-electric SUV introduces aerodynamic enhancements, improved efficiency, and updated technology, further solidifying its position as one of the best-selling EVs globally. Available for order with a starting price of RM195,450, deliveries are expected to begin in April 2025.
The new Model Y Juniper comes in two variants: the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) with a WLTP-rated range of 466kmand 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.9 seconds, and the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (LR AWD), which boasts a range of 551km and 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Key design updates include a sleeker front fascia, a Cybertruck-inspired light bar, and an optimized rear diffuser to reduce drag.
Inside, the cabin adopts wrap-around ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and a second-row touchscreen display, while double-layered acoustic glass and an improved suspension system enhance ride comfort. For Malaysian buyers, Stealth Grey is now the standard color, with optional shades available at an additional cost. Tesla has also retained the indicator stalks, but the gear selector is now integrated into the touchscreen.
The front bumper camera with a self-cleaning function and Enhanced Autopilot capabilities further improve safety and driving convenience.
