KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 – The Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) announced plans to position Malaysia as a secure investment hub by leveraging political stability, pro-business policies, and strategic location in Southeast Asia. A key strategy involves export diversification, expanding trade into Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

MITI also highlighted efforts to explore new free trade agreements (FTAs), including with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), while reinforcing engagement with global economic forums such as the WTO, APEC, CPTPP, and RCEP, ensuring Malaysia remains competitive and resilient amid shifting global trade dynamics.
