BAYAN LEPAS, March 19 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged ministries and agencies to expedite the planning and execution of key development projects in Penang, emphasizing their importance for urban and rural communities.
In a Facebook post, he highlighted discussions from a Special State Development Meeting attended by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and senior officials, focusing on priority projects under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), including road infrastructure, water supply, healthcare, education, and township development.
Anwar also stressed the need for school repairs and new educational facilities to enhance living standards in the state. His visit to Penang included chairing the meeting at the Penang Development Corporation (PDC) office in George Town, where he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring these initiatives bring lasting benefits to the people.
