PUTRAJAYA, March 20 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has instructed the Cabinet to conduct a comprehensive review on capping the prime minister’s tenure at 10 years, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.
The proposal, which requires a constitutional amendment, demands thorough deliberation and bipartisan support. Anwar had earlier expressed agreement with the reform, backed by PKR and Pakatan Harapan, but emphasized the need for consensus-building among MPs to secure the required two-thirds majority for implementation.
