GEORGE TOWN, March 21 – Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd will introduce three new On-Demand routes and deploy two additional vans in Penang starting March 15, enhancing connectivity in Gurney-Tanjung Bungah, Sunway-Butterworth, and Paya Terubong.
Due to rising demand, the existing Farlim-Air Itam route will see an increase from two to four vans, reducing waiting times from 17 to 10 minutes. Acting CEO Ku Jamil Zakaria revealed plans to roll out 50 vans statewide this year, aiming for a more flexible and efficient public transport system.
Additionally, a cashless payment system will launch on March 13 for the Farlim-Air Itam route, extending to the new routes from March 15.
