KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 – Microsoft has issued a warning about a new phishing scam targeting hotel and accommodation owners with Booking.com listings. Cybercriminals send emails impersonating Booking.com, claiming that a guest has left a negative review and urging the recipient to take action.
Victims are then tricked into verifying their login credentials, even passing through a CAPTCHA step for added authenticity, ultimately compromising their accounts and financial data.
