IPOH, March 24 – The Perak government has urged AirAsia to review its decision to suspend the Ipoh-Singapore flight route, set to take effect on April 25. State Tourism Committee Chairman Loh Sze Yee expressed concern over the impact on tourism, investment, and industry, emphasizing that the route has seen strong demand.
He also noted that the move contradicts ongoing efforts to enhance air transport in Ipoh, where the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS) is undergoing upgrades. AirAsia cited operational reviews as the reason for suspending 17 services, including the Ipoh-Singapore route, which began in 2018.
