BANTING, March 27 – In a collaborative effort to protect the environment and support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM), JCI Kuala Lumpur Mandarin (JCIKLM), Islamic Relief Malaysia, and several youth organizations successfully planted 4,000 mangrove saplings along the Pantai Kelanang coastline.

The initiative aims to combat climate change, reduce coastal erosion, and provide marine habitats while absorbing carbon dioxide. MBM Vice President Hasnul Haniff Harun emphasized the importance of youth involvement in sustainability efforts, while JCIKLM President Cadence Yap highlighted the program’s holistic approach, integrating environmental, economic, and social aspects.
