KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 – The National Registration Department (NRD) has announced that it will provide free replacements for identification documents lost in the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire. Victims can obtain new identity cards, birth certificates, and other essential documents without charge to ease their recovery process.
To further assist, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has directed the deployment of the MEKAR Bus, a mobile NRD unit, to the Temporary Evacuation Centre (PPS) at Masjid Putra, Putra Heights, on April 3 from 9 AM to 5 PM. This initiative aims to ensure that victims can quickly regain their official documents for any necessary administrative processes.
