KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 – Malaysia’s economy showed significant growth in 2024, with its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rising by 5.1%, surpassing earlier projections, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced today. Backed by robust domestic investments and strong investor confidence, the country’s capital market also hit a record RM4.2 trillion, reflecting an 11% increase from the previous year.

While celebrating these achievements, Anwar emphasized the need for continued reforms under the Madani Economic Framework to strengthen economic resilience, improve competitiveness, and ensure equitable growth for all Malaysians.
