KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 — Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has activated a comprehensive relief and recovery plan to support customers and communities impacted by the recent gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights. TM’s technical teams are prepared to restore network infrastructure as soon as clearance is granted by emergency authorities, with a priority focus on minimizing service disruption and rebuilding connectivity.
In addition to service restoration, TM is waiving Unifi Home bills for at least one month, offering 60-day credit terms without suspension, and providing free equipment replacements and on-site support. Affected evacuation centres will also receive complimentary WiFi access. TM’s corporate social responsibility arm, Yayasan TM, is coordinating with GLC Demi Rakyat & Negara (GDRN) to distribute essential aid to impacted families, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to urgent, community-focused action.
