KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 – Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has deployed six Rapid KL On-Demand vans to assist victims of the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire, offering free door-to-door transportation under the Prasarana Prihatin programme.
The shuttle service, running from the Putra Heights Mosque Hall temporary relief centre (PPS)to affected residential areas, aims to help victims retrieve personal belongings while they remain in temporary shelters. Senior traffic officers and auxiliary police are stationed to ensure smooth operations and community safety.
In collaboration with the Petaling District and Land Office, Prasarana reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility, ensuring mobility support for those impacted by the devastating blaze, which destroyed homes, vehicles, and infrastructure within a 500-metre radius.
The explosion left a 32-foot-deep crater, displacing hundreds of residents and injuring dozens. “We hope this initiative eases the burden of those affected,” Prasarana stated, pledging continued support until the situation stabilizes.
