KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 – PETRONAS has officially launched FutureTech 4.0, the latest edition of its accelerator programme aimed at driving innovation and sustainability in the energy sector. Open for applications, the 12-week programme will support 20 shortlisted startups across Industry & Work, Energy, and Chemicals & Materials, providing them with mentorship, funding opportunities, and access to corporate networks.

The initiative, culminating in a Demo Day in August 2025, will enable startups to showcase their solutions to industry leaders, investors, and potential collaborators. PETRONAS Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Marina Md Taib, emphasized the programme’s role in fostering a tech-driven startup ecosystem and accelerating the energy transition.

Since its inception, FutureTech has attracted over 900 applicants and nurtured 65 startups, with this edition welcoming key corporate and ecosystem partners, including S P Setia, PTTEP’s Xplor Ventures, Bosch Business Innovations, Cradle Fund, SGInnovate, and JETRO Japan.
