BAYAN LEPAS, April 14 – The 10th ICD Section XV & WSI International Conference and Induction Ceremony will take place from April 18 to 20, 2025, at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, marking a major milestone for global oral healthcare. Jointly organized by the International College of Dentists (ICD) Section XV and the World Stomatology Institute (WSI), and supported by the Penang State Government and Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the event underscores Penang’s growing reputation as a premier destination for high-impact medical and academic events.
Speaking at the press conference, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Wong Hon Wai, emphasized the state’s pride in hosting such a prestigious international gathering, noting its significance in advancing medical innovation, economic development, and global visibility. With a focus on the theme “New Era of Digital AI Technology in Medicine and Dentistry,” the conference will bring together top experts, researchers, and policymakers to explore the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of healthcare.
Organizing Chairman Adjunct Professor Dato’ Dr. How Kim Chuan highlighted the synergy between ICD and WSI in promoting excellence, unity, and multidisciplinary collaboration across academia, private practice, civil service, and industry. The three-day conference will include keynote forums, hands-on workshops, international exhibitions, and grand induction ceremonies for both ICD and WSI fellows. Special honors will also be awarded to distinguished global figures in oral health.
