KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 — Huawei Malaysia has signed four strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with local industry players TOGL, Skyvast, Tiong Nam, HeiTech Padu, and MyEG to accelerate AI adoption in e-commerce, logistics, and government services. The MoU exchange ceremony, witnessed by Digital Minister YB Gobind Singh Deo and Guangxi Governor HE Lan Tianli, aims to strengthen Malaysia’s digital infrastructure and position it as a regional tech hub through AI-powered solutions and sovereign cloud infrastructure.
The collaborations include developing AI-driven platforms for online commerce and logistics operations, as well as enhancing public sector digital services like immigration and transportation with Huawei’s cloud and AI capabilities. The event also saw MoU exchanges between Malaysian and Chinese universities, further fostering cross-border tech and academic partnerships aligned with the National AI Office’s digital transformation agenda.
