KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 — IHH Healthcare Malaysia has launched a nationwide initiative to strengthen collaboration between General Practitioners (GPs) and Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments across its 18 hospitals, including Gleneagles, Pantai, Prince Court, Island, and Timberland Medical Centres.

This strategic partnership aims to improve patient outcomes through direct access to A&E teams, timely clinical updates for GPs, and streamlined referral processes, ensuring continuity and quality in emergency care. With participation from over 130 clinics, the initiative also includes expert-led masterclasses, Basic Life Support (BLS) training, and structured communication channels to ensure seamless care from clinic to hospital.

CEO Jean-François Naa emphasized the importance of GPs as frontline partners, while Dr. Jeewadas Baladas highlighted the role of unified triaging and clinical pathways in delivering timely, evidence-based emergency services nationwide.
