KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 — The Education Ministry has issued a public apology for the incorrect depiction of the Jalur Gemilang in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) analysis report distributed earlier today, calling the mistake a serious oversight and pledging swift action. The ministry stated that the error is “unacceptable” given the flag’s role as a symbol of national pride and sovereignty.

Immediate disciplinary measures have been taken against those involved, and a full investigation is underway. All printed copies of the report have been recalled for correction. The ministry emphasised its commitment to preventing such errors in the future, especially as the incident follows two recent public controversies involving inaccurate depictions of the Malaysian flag, both of which are under separate investigation.
