OSAKA, JAPAN, April 29 – At Expo 2025 Osaka, a landmark renewable energy collaboration was unveiled under Malaysia’s Corporate Green Power Programme. Solarvest Holdings Berhad, HSS Engineering Sdn. Bhd., and Japan’s Shizen Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. announced a 29.99 MWac solar project in Gurun, Kedah, representing a RM142 million investment poised to offset over 1.1 million metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Facilitated by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the SM01 project reflects a strategic international alliance and underscores Malaysia’s commitment to green innovation and low-carbon transition under the National Energy Transition Roadmap. The project received strong endorsement from Malaysian and Japanese leadership, highlighting Malaysia’s conducive investment environment, technological capabilities, and sustainability-focused governance.

Executives from Solarvest, Shizen, and HSS expressed their shared vision of delivering commercially viable, clean energy solutions through global collaboration. Anchored at the Malaysia Pavilion themed “Weaving a Future in Harmony,” this milestone project reinforces Malaysia’s standing as a premier regional hub for sustainable energy and green investments on the global stage.
