GEORGE TOWN, May 2 — Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has reiterated the ministry’s zero-tolerance stance on educator misconduct, particularly sexual offences, stressing that any such behaviour will be met with firm action. Speaking after a Smartboard handover ceremony in Penang, she confirmed that investigations are underway into a male teacher in Johor accused of sending pornographic links to a female colleague and inappropriate conduct with students.

Fadhlina emphasised that all cases would be handled according to ministry procedures and that the police would be given full space to investigate. “As I’ve consistently said, ‘you touch, you go’. There will be no compromise,” she stated, affirming the ministry’s continued commitment to ensuring safe and respectful school environments.
