KUCHING, May 7 – Sarawak has secured the bid to host the 24th Asian Congress on Occupational Health (ACOH) from August 5–8, 2026, at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, welcoming over 2,000 global experts in occupational and environmental health. Organised by the Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia (AOEMM) in collaboration with the Asian Association of Occupational and Environmental Health (AAOEH).

The congress themed “Navigating Global Cross-Cultural Perspective on Occupational Health: Shaping the Future for Sustainability” will spotlight innovations, collaboration, and sustainable practices in the field. With strong support from both the federal and state governments, the event is expected to generate RM16.4 million in economic impact, reinforcing Sarawak’s growing influence as a destination for international thought leadership and professional exchange.
