KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will embark on an official visit to Russia from May 13 to 16, where he is scheduled to attend the 16th Kazan International Economic Forum and hold key meetings with President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The visit, which includes stops in Moscow and Kazan, aims to deepen Malaysia-Russia relations across sectors such as trade, investment, agriculture, education, aerospace, and energy. Anwar is also slated to deliver speeches at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and the KazanForum.
While meeting with Russian business leaders and the Malaysian diaspora. As ASEAN Chair for 2025, Malaysia will also explore stronger engagement under the ASEAN–Russia framework, reflecting its commitment to expanding strategic and multilateral ties, including within BRICS.
