KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Swedish industrial leader Nord-Lock Group has officially opened its new Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) at North Port, Selangor, marking a major milestone in its Asia-Pacific expansion strategy.

Designed to reduce supply chain times by over 50%, the high-tech, sustainability-focused facility will serve critical industries such as renewable energy and automotive manufacturing, supporting over 5,000 shipments annually across the region.

The RDC is a key part of Nord-Lock’s sustainability goals, aiming to reduce air freight reliance by 25 times monthly and lower carbon emissions through smarter sea and ground logistics.

Featuring eco-friendly operations and advanced automation, the hub underscores Malaysia’s strategic role in regional trade and sustainability, while also strengthening Swedish-Malaysian economic ties.
