KOTA BARU, June 3 – Perikatan Nasional (PN) has no plans to recruit former PKR leaders Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, or ex-Umno minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz, despite recent political shifts.

PN chief whip Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan stated that while the coalition is open to parliamentary cooperation, it is not actively pursuing these individuals, emphasizing that any move to join would be their own decision and, in some cases, subject to party-hopping concerns.

Takiyuddin also took aim at Tengku Zafrul’s recent move from Umno to PKR, calling it “unprincipled,” and downplayed the relevance of the trio to PN’s political direction.

Rafizi and Nik Nazmi are currently on gardening leave after resigning their ministerial roles, while Tengku Zafrul announced his resignation from Umno’s Supreme Council and his Kota Raja division chief post. None of the three have expressed intentions to join PN.
