Apple has officially introduced iOS 26, a transformative software update that redefines the iPhone experience with a fresh, expressive design and groundbreaking Apple Intelligence features. The new design is powered by a material Apple calls “Liquid Glass,” which delivers a visually dynamic interface across the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and system-wide UI elements. This new aesthetic not only revitalizes app icons and widgets with customizable, translucent effects, but also brings new motion and spatial features that make iPhone usage more engaging and personal.
Apple Intelligence takes a leap forward in iOS 26 with Live Translation for Messages, Phone, and FaceTime — enabling real-time multilingual conversations securely on-device. New visual intelligence features also allow users to interact contextually with content across apps, from adding events to the calendar to researching similar images, and even creating custom Genmoji with Image Playground.
