KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 – The First Instance Body (FIB) has officially announced that 11 Malaysia Super League clubs and 2 AFL A1 teams have been granted the National Licence, enabling their participation in the 2025-2026 Super League season.

The FIB, chaired by Sheikh Mohd Nasir Sheikh Mohd Sharif, evaluated all applications based on six key criteria set out in the MFL Club Licensing Regulations, including sports, infrastructure, personnel, legal, financial, and business aspects.

Among those granted the licence are top-tier teams such as Johor Darul Ta’zim FC, Selangor FC, and Penang FC, while Kuala Lumpur City FC, Kelantan Darul Naim FC, and PDRM FC were approved conditionally, pending financial compliance by 31 May 2025.

Notably, Kedah Darul Aman FC and Perak FC failed to meet financial criteria and were denied licensing. Meanwhile, Melaka FC and Imigresen FC from AFL A1 successfully obtained licences through special provisions under Article 15 of the 2024-2025 MFL licensing cycle.
