KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 – The Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) marked a milestone in professional banking excellence with its 8th Chartered Banker Conferment ceremony, celebrating individuals and institutions dedicated to ethical leadership and continuous upskilling.

Held under the theme “Charting the Growth of Finance,” the event underscored the industry’s urgent need for future-ready professionals amid growing challenges in digital transformation, cybersecurity, and sustainable finance. Graced by Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Dato’ Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour, the ceremony honoured more than 500 banking professionals, including 14 Fellow Chartered Bankers and 71 Chartered Bankers.

Highlights included the historic presentation of the Chartered Banker Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award to AICB Chairman Tan Sri Azman Hashim, and the AICB Honorary Fellowship to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. AICB reaffirmed its commitment to growing its Chartered Banker community and delivering future-focused education that ensures the industry remains resilient, ethical, and ready to navigate a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
