BAYAN LEPAS, June 16 – As Malaysia takes the helm of ASEAN in 2025, CTOS is leading efforts to empower local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to overcome structural barriers and global trade uncertainties through its nationwide CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 initiative.
The event, next held in Penang on 12 June at Setia SPICE Convention Centre, aims to provide SMEs with the knowledge, digital tools, and ecosystem support needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive and digitally driven regional economy.
With only 13% of Malaysian SMEs involved in exports, CTOS is addressing the readiness gap by fostering collaboration between government, corporate leaders, and entrepreneurs to drive innovation and transformation. Chief Operating Officer of CTOS Data Systems, Lee Shin Mei, emphasized the company’s commitment to going beyond credit reporting to act as a true partner in SME growth.
CTOS SME Biz Day in Penang will spotlight urgent issues such as mitigating risks from U.S. tariffs, transitioning to e-invoicing, and implementing digital management solutions. The event features a robust lineup of influential speakers from government, tech, and finance, including leaders from LHDN, Unifi Business, AWS, SME Corp., MDEC, and more—underscoring the collaborative push to future-proof Malaysian SMEs.
