GEORGE TOWN, June 17 — The Malaysia International Miniature Hobby Show & Competition (MIMHS – MALCOM) concluded its landmark 10th edition at The Wembley – A St Giles Hotel in Penang, celebrating record-breaking participation and global acclaim.

Drawing over 30,000 visitors and uniting enthusiasts from 25 countries and regions, the event affirmed its standing as Southeast Asia’s largest and one of the world’s top five miniature modeling showcases.

With 87 manufacturers, 65 international judges, and over 1,000 global participants, this year’s edition delivered an extraordinary blend of technical brilliance, cultural exchange, and community spirit. Officiated by YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), the closing ceremony highlighted model art as a driving force in the creative economy.

The event paid tribute to the passion of hobbyists and the visionary leadership of founder Mr. Choo Huang Ming. MIMHS – MALCOM has evolved into more than a competition—it is a global platform for craftsmanship, storytelling, and industry growth.

With strong state support, the event continues to elevate Penang’s profile as a hub for innovation, artistry, and international collaboration.
