KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 – Malaysia marked a major milestone in its digital transformation journey with the launch of AI Malaysia (AIM), a multi-stakeholder platform led by ASEAN-BAC Malaysia and supported by the Ministry of Digital, aimed at accelerating AI-powered innovation across industries, government, and academia.
Officiated by Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo and featuring Turing Award winner Professor Richard Sutton, the “AI Conversations 2025” event brought together global AI experts and national leaders to foster inclusive growth, ethical innovation, and ASEAN-wide collaboration.
Positioned as a catalyst for Malaysia’s AI ecosystem, AIM will champion public-private partnerships, talent development, and cross-border cooperation to boost digital competitiveness and shape the region’s AI future.
