KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 – The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to drive sustainable and responsible investments in Malaysia.
This collaboration aims to strengthen the adoption of ESG principles across the private sector, supporting Malaysia’s Net Zero 2050 agenda and MITI’s Green Investment Strategy. By combining MIDA’s investment promotion mandate with UNGCMYB’s sustainability expertise.
The partnership will facilitate impactful initiatives such as conferences, capacity-building programs, and multi-stakeholder engagement, beginning with the Forward Faster Symposium 2025 on 5 June at MIDA headquarters.
