GEORGE TOWN, June 19 — The Penang State Government has announced the expansion of its 5% discount initiative for all buyers of unsold completed properties, following unanimous approval during the State Executive Council (MMK) meeting held today at KOMTAR.
This initiative, part of the MADANI Ownership Campaign (MOC), aims to address property overhang in the state and make homeownership more accessible. The programme remains limited to a one-year period and is only applicable to participating developers registered with the Penang State Housing Board (LPNPP).
Eligible units must be identified as unsold by the National Property Information Centre (NAPIC). The move reflects the state’s commitment to easing housing access while supporting the property sector’s recovery and sustainability.
