PETALING JAYA, June 20 — Thomson Fertility, in collaboration with Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara and Monash University Australia, held Malaysia’s first Holistic Endometriosis Care Scientific Workshop, aiming to improve diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life for women living with endometriosis.
Bringing together global experts from the University of Oxford, Monash University, and University of Warwick, the event addressed the chronic condition that affects one in 10 Malaysian women, often leading to severe pain and infertility. With the theme “From Bench to Bedside,” the workshop highlighted the importance of early diagnosis, multidisciplinary care, and public education.
It also marked the launch of Endo Care @ Thomson, a monthly initiative offering expert talks and resources to help women seek timely intervention. Experts called for stronger data collection and primary care involvement, with Thomson Fertility CEO Lakshmi Menon emphasizing the mission to “transform the future of women’s care in Malaysia.”
