GEORGE TOWN, June 20 — Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow today announced the upcoming Penang2030 Festival x Hari Warisan Seberang Perai 2025, scheduled for 12 July at Kampung Agong, North Seberang Perai.
For the first time, the Penang2030 Festival will be held on the mainland, in conjunction with Seberang Perai Heritage Day, celebrating local cultural heritage while promoting inclusive community engagement in a traditional village setting.
The event is expected to draw over 5,000 visitors and will feature cultural showcases, workshops, and STEM-based activities by Tech Dome Penang, alongside environmental programmes by Penang Green Council and creative spaces by MBPP.
The festival also commemorates the seventh anniversary of the Penang2030 Vision, highlighting the state’s progress in sustainable development, education, digitalisation, and community empowerment. Supported by multiple state and federal agencies.
The initiative aims to blend cultural appreciation with technological advancement, reinforcing Penang’s aspiration to be a family-focused, smart, and green state. Visitors can look forward to a vibrant line-up, including traditional costume contests, wayang kulit, silat demonstrations, food-making workshops, and interactive learning for children, all in a uniquely kampung atmosphere.
