KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 — Pos Malaysia has launched the “Fossil Discoveries in Malaysia” stamp collection, celebrating the nation’s rich palaeontological heritage and scientific milestones. The limited-edition release features four unique fossils found across Malaysia.
A Stegodon tooth from Perak’s Kinta Valley, a Giant Pangolin bone and Tiger tooth from Sarawak’s Niah Caves, and an Iguanodon tooth from Terengganu’s Gunung Gagau, each offering a glimpse into Malaysia’s prehistoric biodiversity.
Available from 30 June 2025, the stamp set includes se-tenant designs, a First Day Cover, and a collector’s folder priced at RM50.50. Special cancellations will be offered at selected post offices in Kuching, Ipoh, and Kuala Terengganu.
The collection, available online and at Philatelic Bureaus nationwide, aims to bridge science and culture while inspiring greater appreciation of Malaysia’s natural history.
