PUTRAJAYA, July 22 – In anticipation of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), Tourism Malaysia and SriLankan Airlines hosted a special familiarisation trip for seven leading Sri Lankan media representatives from 24–29 June.

The immersive 6-day, 5-night programme spanned Putrajaya, Melaka, Genting Highlands, and Kuala Lumpur, spotlighting Malaysia’s sustainable cities, cultural heritage, and thrilling attractions like Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park and Genting SkyWorlds.

The trip, aimed at boosting Sri Lankan tourist arrivals, included stops at iconic landmarks such as Jonker Street, Batu Caves, Cruise Tasik Putrajaya, and the KL Hop-On Hop-Off Night Tour.

With direct SriLankan Airlines flights offering 1,650 weekly seats to Kuala Lumpur, the initiative underscores Tourism Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening regional tourism ties and positioning Malaysia as a must-visit destination for Sri Lankan travellers.
