GEORGE TOWN, July 7 — KUKA Robotics Malaysia has officially opened its new office in Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, marking a significant expansion into Penang’s thriving industrial landscape. The launch, officiated by YB Tuan Jagdeep Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang, underscores KUKA’s strategic vision to strengthen its footprint in Malaysia and support the nation’s push toward Industry 4.0.
In line with this, KUKA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) to jointly develop robotics training and foster a future-ready workforce. The new facility features an Application Center showcasing KUKA’s cutting-edge robotics solutions and Swisslog’s intralogistics technologies, catering to industries such as electronics, automotive, and healthcare.
With strong backing from MITI, MIDA, and InvestPenang, and attended by over 100 stakeholders, the launch event signified a powerful step forward in positioning Penang as a hub for automation excellence and high-tech talent development across Southeast Asia.
