TANJUNG BUNGAH, July 10 – M Social Resort Penang officially opened its doors today with a vibrant and culturally inspired launch ceremony, becoming the first M Social property in Malaysia under the Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) portfolio.

Tourism Malaysia’s Deputy Chairman, Dato’ Yeoh Soon Hin, officiated the event in lieu of Minister Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, who conveyed his support from abroad during a tourism mission in Australia.
Formerly known as Copthorne Orchid Hotel, the rebranded M Social Resort is now a vibrant destination that blends modernity and heritage. The Sunset Bay and Azure Wings offer panoramic sea views and beach-facing rooms respectively, while design elements draw from Peranakan architecture, traditional motifs, and Penang’s colorful streets.
