GEORGE TOWN, July 15 — Youth and Sports Minister YB Hannah Yeoh today led the fifth edition of the Rakan Muda Turun Kampus 2025 programme at Han Chiang University College of Communication (HCUC), providing a platform for university students to voice their ideas and aspirations directly to the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS).
The initiative aligns with Malaysia MADANI’s values of Keyakinan and Ihsan, emphasising the importance of listening to youth and empowering their role in nation-building. The programme, which will be held in 10 campuses nationwide throughout 2025, aims to reach 5,000 students with updates on government youth policies, democratic engagement, and sports development.
It also featured interactive activities led by the Rakan Muda Division of the National Youth and Sports Department (JBSN). Also in attendance were Penang State EXCO for Youth, Sports and Health YB Daniel Gooi Zi Sen, HCUC Vice-Chancellor Associate Professor Dr. Beh Kok Hooi and Penang State Youth and Sports Director Encik Mozakir Buyong Mokhtar.
Through this programme, KBS hopes to strengthen student identity and unity, encourage inter-institutional collaboration, and gather direct input for shaping youth empowerment strategies.
